You’ll never believe what evil is abound.
President Trump made a surprise visit to troops in Iraq and Germany and, receiving an enthusiastic reception from many, signed MAGA hats and an embroidered patch that read Trump 2020.
I just don’t know how we’ll cope.
After all, the guidelines do say “active duty personnel may not engage in partisan political activities” or do anything that implies “DoD sponsorship, approval, or endorsement of a political candidate.”
It is interesting to note that all those getting their knickers in a twist over this clearly hold Democratic FBI agents in higher regard than Republican Soldiers.
After all that great paragon of virtue and FBI agent Peter Strzok, despite his personal opinion being as he wrote in his text “we’ll stop Trump” was nonetheless assigned to both the investigation into Clinton’s personal email server and the probe into potential collusion between Trump officials and Russia during the election. But don’t worry about any bias or partiality, he himself assures us that “he never allowed personal views to affect official decisions”.
So that’s all okay. But pro Trump soldiers who have their MAGA hats signed are clearly in violation of some anti partisan rule.
I presume they are saying that having a pro-Trump item signed is political activity.
It’s a stretch of course, but some people hate Trump so much that they will clutch at the most tenuous way to link even a minor wrongdoing to Trump and therefore be able to lay a portion of the blame at his feet and add to the steadily mounting evidence of his evil.
Sorry soldiers. You will have to be today’s sacrifices on the altar of getting Trump.
But otherwise, thank you all so much for you service, especially over the holidays.
